Jan. 1, 2011 - PRLog -- The American Patriot Program (TAPP) is pleased to announce that it has finalized its roster for the 2011 American Patriot Pleasantry team and has named Sunshine Roth as its Chief Patriot Pleasantry Director.

Roth is the wife of Vietnam Veteran and 2009 American Patriot Award recipient Jay Roth.  Sunshine Roth, a warrior in her own right, has worked to honor and also to preserve the dignity of combat veterans.  Roth stated, "We cannot forget the sacrifices that our combat Veterans have made."

In playing an integral role in the operation of the Pleasantry Program, Roth also stated, "I am honored to be a part of TAPP and to be working with such a great team of Pleasantry Partners."   Roth has also organized a strong letter writing team of supporters throughout the Country that also send congratulatory cards for award recipients.

Since 2009, TAPP's pleasantry partners have joined together with the American Patriot Program to provide a memorable gift package that compliments the American Patriot Award presentation at honor events that take place throughout America.

This gift package is presented during a pregame presentation and serves as the 'on deck hitter' for the main American Patriot Award presentation.  This patriot pleasantry gift package is presented in league with an official declaration of the American Patriot Award drafted by the Office of the Governor of the State where the honor event is held.

Donna Hogue, creator of Throws of Love, TAPP's first pleasantry partner stated, "I'm so proud to do this for our warriors."  Hogue has dedicated much of her life to honoring the legacies of American Veterans and supplies all American Award recipients with a fleece throw customized to the recipient's respective branch of service.

Donna is now the 'seasoned veteran' of the team and helps round out a spectacular group of 2011 partners.  TAPP has announced the following roster for the 2011 team:

Our Heroes' Journey in partnership with Our Fallen Soldier; of Carlsbad, California.  Our Heroes' Journey produces a fleece United States Armed Forces sleeve that is presented in tandem with the American Patriot Award.

Hero Bracelets; of Austin, Texas.  Hero Bracelets provides customized 'Purple Heart themed 'Honored American Patriot' Hero Bracelets for recipients and their family members.

Remember The Wounded Ride; of Portland, Oregon.  USMC Veteran and Remember The Wounded Ride founder Scot King is contributing the gold series 'Remember The Wounded' hoodie.  Remember The Wounded Ride clothing and the TAPP official clothing line is produced by MWC Enterprises of Canby, Oregon.

MWC Enterprises also produces the 'Nominated American Patriot'  T-Ration shirt.  During honor events those in attendance personally sign a t-ration to commemorate the recipient's official nomination of the national level award.

Products For Good; of Charlotte, North Carolina.  Products For Good is contributing the White House edition 'Purple Heart Shadow Box' and special coin set.  The shadow box also features custom engraving.

In addition to the national team of contributors, local meal partners also join in solidarity to offer a 'Patriot Meal' as part of TAPP's 'Operation Dinner Out' invitation.  'Patriot Meal' partners have included;  Long John's Silver's, Timberlodge Steakhouse, LongHorn Steakhouse, Applebee's, ACME Hotdog and Sausage Company, Tom Reid's Hockey City Pub, Timberjack Smokehouse, Old Country Buffet, and Golden Corral.

In addition, previous American Patriot Award recipients are also joining in to correspond to newly selected recipients with a personal note of congratulations.

2009 American Patriot Award recipient Mike Mills has been an active participant in corresponding to recipients.  Mills mentioned, "this is an honor to be part of this group and feel that it is my duty to say thank you for what these other recipients have given this Country."

Congressional Medal of Honor recipient's are also encouraged to send personal correspondence.  Medal of Honor recipient Don Ballard has been a tremendous supporter of TAPP's combat wounded Veterans and has played a strong role in forwarding his appreciation to combat wounded Veterans that have been selected for the award.

TAPP's upcoming honor event is being hosted by the Dallas Stars NHL hockey team on Monday, January 17th at the American Airlines Center.  The pleasantry package will be presented before the Dallas Stars vs. Los Angeles Kings 7:30 pm puck drop and the American Patriot Award presentation will take place during the first intermission of play.
