In an effort to help individuals relaunch their lives, David Trotter will be presenting the Launch Yourself Workshop in four major cities during the first quarter of 2011. The two-day experience is designed to empower men and women to discover what they truly want in life and how to go about getting it.
“The reality is that life dissatisfaction is the result of living an unintentional life,” said David Trotter, author of Launch Yourself: Creating a New Normal One Intention at a Time. “Without intentionality, there’s not much chance that you’ll develop the life you truly want.”
Three years ago, David Trotter found himself stuck in a job, marriage, and lifestyle that lacked satisfaction. On the outside, he had it all together. Trotter was the founder of a growing non-profit in southern California, husband to an attractive wife, and father to two kids who were “A” students.
After working 70-80 hours a week for almost 10 years, he was ready for a change. After resigning from the non-profit he founded, he left his wife and family to move in with another woman. Forty days later, the woman left, and Trotter found himself spending three days in a hospital to get his life back on track.
“Unfortunately, I made some really harmful decisions in the midst of my dissatisfaction,”
After six months of personal therapy, marriage counseling, and a brain scan, Trotter was warmly welcomed back into his family’s home. With a new focus on his marriage and family, he started a successful marketing business and began writing and speaking about his own experiences.
“David’s books have inspired me to focus on my career with even more intensity in 2011,” said Zak Slemmer, member of the award-winning comedy troupe, City Hall, based in New York. “I’m experiencing great changes in my life, and that’s why I was excited about inviting him to present the workshop in our area.”
The “Launch Yourself Workshop” teaches participants The Process of Intention – five questions to help each person understand their preferred future and the action steps needed in order to experience it. The book and workbook written by Trotter form the foundation of the workshop, and he leads an extensive time of teaching, personal reflection, and group interaction.
