Experience the spirit of Valentine’s Day

Dec. 31, 2010 - PRLog -- What conjures up the spirit of Valentine’s Day? Star-cross lovers Romeo and Juliet? Romantic walks, cosy drink by the fire and lantern-lit evenings? You can experience all this and much more at the infamously haunted Falstaff Experience in Stratford upon Avon on Valentine’s Weekend 11th-14th February.    
  Although Romeo and Juliet may not have been inspired by previous residents of the building at 40 Sheep Street, William Rogers (real life Sir John Falstaff) did ‘inspire’ Shakespeare to write the Merry Wives of Windsor, as legend goes, at the decree of Elizabeth as she wished to see “Falstaff in love!”
  During the Valentine weekend, the spirit of Valentine’s lives on with a romantic haunted pub walk of Stratford; ghost tours by lantern-light within the building and overnight ghost hunts that include a rose for every lady.  
 The haunted pub walk of the town will retell the loves and life of the Stratford’s residents, including of course the most romantic of them all – William Shakespeare! For the braver couples who wish cuddle up in the dark and meet less romantic figures such as John Davies the serial killer who is known to haunt The Falstaff Experience and ‘loves the ladies’ the ghost tours by lantern light should fit the bill or for those who wish to get really ‘up close and personal’ with the ghosts there is an overnight on a ghost hunt on what is reputed to be the most haunted building in England. Certainly lots of Valentine ‘spirit’ all around!

Haunted Valentine Ghost Walk of Romantic Stratford on Sunday, 11th February from 8-10.30pm £17.95 (includes drinks and light snacks). Valentine lantern-lit ghost tour of Stratford’s most haunted building, including rose on Saturday 12th February (6pm, 7pm, 8pm 9pm), Sunday 13th February (6pm, 7pm) and Monday 14th February (6pm, 7pm) £7.50. Overnight Valentine Ghost Hunt on Saturday 12th February (10pm-4am) £45 and includes professional psychic medium, Falstaff paranormal team, as well as refreshments and light snacks throughout the evening.
