RK Motors Taps Collector Car Industry Marketing Expert Jamie Wiehe As New Marketing Director

Dec. 30, 2010 - PRLog -- Charlotte, N.C. – Dec. 30, 2010 – RK Motors Charlotte has snagged collector car veteran Jamie Wiehe as its new marketing director for the North Carolina-based automotive company.  Ms. Wiehe will be responsible for all marketing activities at one of the nation’s premier restorer, re-seller and provider of classic, muscle and high-performance cars.

“Jamie has impressive credentials working with some of the most influential and successful companies in the collector car industry,” said Joseph Carroll, RK Motors Charlotte president and CEO.  “She is also a passionate enthusiast herself, having owned a string of Ford Mustangs.  We’re very excited that she will relocate to North Carolina and bring her talents to RK Motors Charlotte.”

In her new role, Ms. Wiehe will develop marketing strategies based on studying economic indicators, tracking changes in supply and demand, and identifying customers’ current and future needs.  She will wield the company’s considerable assets to help reach its target market, which is located around the globe. Some of her first responsibilities will include the management of the RK Collection NASCAR Edition Toyota Camry on its nationwide tour.

Ms. Wiehe moved to RK Motors Charlotte from Barrett-Jackson Auction Company where she managed events and marketing related tasks for nearly six years.  Wiehe was responsible for marketing and promoting auction vehicles including many high profile, rare and one-of-a-kind collector cars. She acted as the liaison for SPEED’s live broadcast, produced event advertisements and collateral including programs and catalogs, and managed a 35 stop grassroots promotional tour. She helped cultivate the Barrett-Jackson brand along with licensee partners to create a line of diecast cars, DVD sets, wall calendars, coffee table books and other items.  

In addition to working with SPEED and her marketing duties, Wiehe worked with the consignment team to help verify auction vehicle documentation and provenance giving her intimate knowledge of all types of collector vehicles as well as the classic car market. At the end of her tenure at Barrett-Jackson, she created a Process Director position to help make the company more efficient as the company added a fourth auction to its schedule.  

Wiehe graduated from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, with a Bachelor of Arts in communications and a minor in business administration with a marketing emphasis.  She interned at Walt Disney World where she studied their techniques in branding and customer service.
