Dec. 30, 2010 - PRLog -- A country with rich history, friendly locals, fun-filled activities and naturally beautiful sights make Myanmar a great destination for a family holiday. The 9 days, 8 nights tour operated by Exotissimo Travel spreads through Yangon, Twantay, Bagan, Heho and Inle Lake.

In Yangon, the awe-inspiring giant reclining Buddha, glittering stupas, and colonial buildings are a perfect way to start the journey in this country.  The ‘National Races Village' will introduce travelers to the several ethnic minorities living in Myanmar. Families get a firsthand experience of living life in this village. Here they will have the opportunity to try their traditional costumes and learn about the traditional crafts that residents of the village make and survive upon as their means of income.

From Yangon travelers will take a boat ride to the ancient village of Twantay. The main source of income of this village comes from fishery & agriculture and travelers will witness an example as they watch the local fishermen fishing in the Twantay Canal – an important waterway connecting several cities and towns, which has the potential of becoming a seaport in the near future. In Twantay, travellers will also get to experience the village on a local trishaw, which will take them to the pottery village and to the colorful bazaar of Twantay.

In Bagan, travelers visit fascinating stupas, temples and local crafts’ workshops. At these tradeshops visitors will get a chance to work with the locals and try a hand at their trades. Here travelers will also visit a local school and interact with the students and learn about the education system in Myanmar.

Next part of the trip will take travelers to Inle Lake. This body of water is surrounded by the Shan Hills - a stretch of hill ranges, high plateau and steep river valleys. As you cruise the lake in a long tail boat, you will explore stilted village, floating gardens and dazzling temples. Families will also engage in activities such as cooking dinner with a local family at their home and enjoying it while overlooking the lake.

This family holiday will leave you with splendid memories of this beautiful yet historical and traditional rich land.
