Dec. 29, 2010 - PRLog -- Is your little girl ready for her close-up?

Prayables.com is launching a new submission based video competition in the month of January. The Girl Pray! competition solicits video submissions of little girls saying their prayers. These 60 second clips will be voted on by the public based on how cute or funny they may be. Submissions will be accepted from January 1st through January 22nd. Popular vote will determine the winners, who will receive a variety of prizes.

The purpose of the Girl Pray! Video Competition is to encourage women to pray the way they used to when they were that young. The prayers of little girls are filled with innocence, hope and genuine compassion. Absent from the equation is the sense of pretense and obligation that often accompanies the rushed prayers of women navigating a hectic world. This collection of video clips will serve as a reminder of what women's prayers used to sound like, and serve as a road map for those who can't remember how it's done.  As Prayables.com founder Susan Diamond explains, “The Prayables Girl Pray! Video Contest is a reminder to women across the globe; prayer can be uncomplicated, sweet and even funny when we "see it" through the lips of a little girl.”

The Girl Pray! Video Competition is generating quite a bit of enthusiasm among participants and Prayables staff as well. Diamond states, “I'm excited to see the creativity and passion of prayer rejuvenated through the prayer videos submitted by faith-filled women and their favorite little girls.” With submissions starting on the 1st of the year, the thrills are only expected to grow.

And why not? The prizes associated with the competition alone are enough to spur people to pull out their camcorder. The top five prayer video submissions will all receive a cuddly “Prayer Bear” for the adorable little girl offering her devotions, as well as a copy of Prayables' new book, Personal Peace: Prayers for Women of All Faiths, for the loving adult who submitted the video. In addition to these great prizes, third place will receive a $25 gift card to Amazon and second a $50 gift card. The Grand Prize winner will receive a $250 Amazon shopping spree!

Perhaps the most rewarding component of the competition is the ability of participants to inspire others to genuine, heartfelt prayer. The top five video submissions will be edited into an inspirational prayer video for all to watch, and be distributed to the sizable Prayables network. Why wait?
