By: Porta Press The all-new 2012 Buick LaCrosse is another way that GM is giving back to the environment with its customers in mind as the fuel economy has increased with this new sedan. The new Buick LaCrosse MI sedan is equipped with a four-cylinder engine and will come standard with eAssist. General Motor’s eAssist system offers three times greater power to the vehicles that will use the newest version. This system combined with other upgraded features give the Buick LaCrosse a 25 percent increase in fuel economy with the same 2.4 liter engine as the 2011 LaCrosse. The full-sized Buick LaCrosse can get up to 25 mpg city and 37 mpg highway. Buick LaCrosse MI shoppers and other potential owners will enjoy the new motor assist and battery charging that occurs with a new belt-drive system. With 182 horsepower, the Buick LaCrosse is not only elegant in design but powerful as well with GM’s modified Hydro-Matic 6-speed automatic transaxle. There is also an added 115 volt, 0.5 kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery integrated into the vehicle with a power inverter and a customary 12-volt battery plug available in the rear seat and the trunk. Added to this battery is regenerative braking, which delivers 15 kilowatts of electricity to recharge the battery. Other great features of this new luxury sedan include engine shut-off when the vehicle stops and fuel cut-off during deceleration. GM also made the Buick LaCrosse MI vehicles more aerodynamic with electronically controlled shutters in the grille to help with efficiency.
