Dec. 27, 2010 - PRLog -- Joy Berger authored Music of the Soul, Composing Life Out of Loss, and is the Quality and Education Researcher for Hosparus Inc., in Louisville, KY.  She is a recipient of the National Heart of Hospice Psychosocial/Spiritual Caregiver Award, by the National Council of Hospice and Palliative Care Professionals. Joy’s personal openness to hope took hold when completing her doctorate in piano performance, she suffered serious injuries to both hands.

She holds graduate degrees from the University of San Francisco, Columbia University, and Loyola University.

Dr. Gloria C. Horsley, PHD, MFT, CNS, is a bereaved parent, and has worked in the field of family therapy for over twenty years. Dr. Gloria is Founder and President of the Open to Hope Foundation.  She serves The Compassionate Friends as a Board Member.  She is co-author of “Teen Grief Relief” and “Real Men Do Cry.” She holds graduate degrees from the University of Rochester, Syracuse, Greenwich and Holos Universities.
