Two years in the making, the team has been preparing for the grueling demands of the Baja, chronicling their vehicle (Toyota FJ Cruiser) modifications and travel plans on the http://www.lastgreatroadtrip.com website. According to Paul Thompson, the team's project manager and driver “We will be off road, all alone for a 1,000 miles of Baja dirt roads, 4x4 trails and unmarked desert. This adventure presents us with new challenges to test the rig's durability and our driving skills. It also presents us with an opportunity to meet new friends and explore the Mexican culture.” Retracing the famed route of the Baja 1000 race course from Ensenada, Mexico to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico the team will attempt to blog their experiences along the way.
