Dec. 22, 2010 - PRLog -- Kicking off its 2011 season, the “World Famous” Lipizzaner Stallions are traveling to Rainsville, Ala. for one night of spectacular leaps, dancing, and maneuvers. The beautiful white stallions are appearing for the first time in DeKalb County at the Northeast Agri-Business Center on January 13, 2011, beginning at 7:30 p.m. The tour features 12 to 14 stallions that are renowned for being the world's greatest exponents of dressage and exhibiting a number of beautiful techniques.

Performing an equestrian work of art, the two-hour program includes a performance called “Airs Above the Ground”, featuring spectacular leaps and maneuvers once used by riders in saddle to protect and defend themselves on the battlefield. The family-friendly show concludes with the traditional Grand Quadrille, featuring six to eight Lipizzaner Stallions with their riders performing an intricate, equine ballet, exhibiting maneuvers through the highest level of dressage.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children 12 years and under and seniors 60+. Tickets go on sale at the Northeast Alabama Agri-Business Center office beginning December 27, 2010. Advanced tickets may be purchased at tickets.com and tickets will also be sold at the gate. All seats are general admission. The Northeast Alabama Agri-Business Center is located at 1571 McCurdy Avenue North in Rainsville.
