Dec. 22, 2010 - PRLog -- On Sunday, the well known and loved ITV talent show gripped viewers as thousands tuned in to find out who would win the 2010 title.  27 year old Matt Cardle swept to victory as he wowed viewers with his musical talent. Matt, like many of the other contestants before him have been catapulted to superstar status almost overnight. But life hasn’t always been so rosy for Matt, who has spent the last six years chasing his ultimate dream.

During his school days Matt showed his musical side and attended numerous band camps during his school holidays. At school his music teacher even contacted him one summer asking if he would like to join her to sing a duet.

After school he decided it was time to leave education behind and took on jobs such as working in the industrial flooring trade, where his days were filled doing floor repairs, floor preparation, laying resin flooring  and non-slip flooring  in order to save enough money to pay for studio time.

You could say Matt’s a bit of a jack of all trades as he also has experience of working as a bricklayer, painting and decorating, making furniture and of working in a plastics factory.
Other jobs under his belt include working as a postman, a milkman and of working in various fast food outlets and coffee shops. His most bizarre jobs to date however have been dressing up as Father Christmas, and working for The Great British Circus mantling and dismantling the lion’s cages.

Alongside creating his diverse CV Matt was a member of a few bands, along with his fellow musical pals and spent their time writing songs and singing gigs in and around London. He knew deep down that his ultimate passion was to become a famous singer, but did not send the audition tape into the X-Factor himself. A friend of his ex-girlfriend filmed him performing in a pub and decided to send the tape into the show which has catapulted him to fame.

Even though Matt’s days of laying industrial flooring are now behind him, if you are looking for a company who specialise in industrial floor repairs PSR Industrial Flooring Specialists may be able to help you. They have over 15 years experience laying industrial flooring, and over this time have won a range of prestigious contracts.
