Richmond Brothers Honored by Jackson Community College Foundation for Scholarship Donations

Dec. 21, 2010 - PRLog -- Richmond Brothers Foundation was honored last month by Jackson Community College for donations made to multiple scholarships. The most prominent of those scholarships, Richmond Brothers’ “First Generation” Scholarship, helps provide valuable assistance to those students who are the first in their family to attend higher education. In 2010 there were twenty students who received this scholarship.

Marketing Associate Kira Buffa represented Richmond Brothers at the reception. “It was definitely inspiring to meet with these students and hear a bit about their backgrounds. It is a great, humbling feeling knowing that Richmond Brothers is able to make such an impact for these first time college students.”

Richmond Brothers has been providing scholarship funds to JCC since 2006. In that time, more than 100 students have received assistance.

“Education is an area that is near and dear to the Richmond Brothers Foundation. We set up the scholarships to ensure that deserving young adults have the opportunity to continue their education which will give them greater opportunities in life," said David S.
