The 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan features an all-new powertrain, a new 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine. The engine is paired with a smooth-shifting six-speed automatic transmission. The new engine allows the new Grand Caravan to deliver Dodge drivers with the best-in-class horsepower- 283 horsepower, as compared to 197 hp in the previous 3.8-liter V-6 engine.

To increase fuel efficiency, the Grand Caravan features a new driver-selectable Fuel Economizer Mode. Drivers can easily change the transmission shift schedule to maximize their fuel efficiency. The minivan also features a lower ride height, new lower-rolling resistance tires, a new spoiler and reduced brake caliper and rear bearing drag.
