How to do virus removal?
To do virus removal, there are two options for you. One is to do it by yourself. If you are a computer expert and you do know the risks you may encounter, you may try this way. The other is to do it with some free software. This way is more proper for most general computer users.
Method 1: Do virus removal by yourself
Step 1: Uninstall suspicious applications from “Add or Remove Program”.
Many viruses attach themselves to executable files that are part of legitimate programs, so the first step you should do is to delete those suspicious applications. If you are unable to delete it normally, you can try Safe Mode by pressing F8 key while Windows is logging on.
Enter “My Computer”, access “Control Panel”. Find malwares in “Add or Remove Program” and then uninstall it.

Step 2: Delete files related to virus.
If you are not sure what kind of files are related to virus when following this instruction of virus removal. You should search online firstly to know the characteristic of a virus file.
Use Search function to locate those virus files: open “My Computer”, press “Search” on toolbar. Select search for “All files and folders”. Type in file name (it is better if you input suffix as well), look in all hard drives, and press Search button. The results are shown at the right side.

Step 3: Delete unnecessary registry.
This is the most important part of virus removal. In many situations, virus would come back after you delete the file but not registry key.

Warning: you may have to back up registry before you do the following instructions, or your computer will be corrupt and would not be able to boot up if you delete the wrong registry key.

Search online to know the name of registry key and the location. Follow these instructions: go to menu “Start” and select “Run”. Then you will see the registry window. Locate the registry key of virus, right-click the mouse on the registry key, select delete.

Step 4: Restart your computer.
Check if you have done virus removal. If not, turn to an application for help.
