Talent Management: Lady Gaga's Meat Dress Named 2010's Biggest Fashion Statement

Dec. 17, 2010 - PRLog -- And Talent Management’s favourite? 2010’s top fashion statements of course. Read on for a round up of the top 5…

1. Lady Gaga
Gaga’s infamous meat dress is predictably number one on the list. Constructed from slabs of raw meat, the dress, which was teamed up with matching meat shoes and accessories, prompted questions worldwide…just what kind of statement was she trying to make?

2. M.I.A.
Next up, singer M.I.A. was chosen for turning up at an awards event this year in what is perhaps one of the most controversial garments of the times; a burqa. Brightly coloured, with the words ‘I Love You’ printed on the front, we think she was going for a positive statement rather than promoting oppression.

3. Venus Williams
At this year’s French Open, the famous tennis star played in a sexy red and black outfit that resembled a lace corseted nightie. The dress, designed by Venus herself, appeared transparent and caused talks amongst the stands.

4. Prince
When the outlandish singer received his Lifetime Achievement Award this year, he turned up not in a suit, but an outfit that some say resembled pyjamas, and others a tube of toothpaste. Whatever it was, it featured an illustration of himself alongside that famous symbol that briefly replaced his name.

5. Rihanna
At number 5, Time voted for Rihanna’s jade green all in one jumpsuit, which the singer wore to a German music-award festival back in March this year. Its giant sleeves remind us of a graduation robe, well, a graduation robe with extreme cleavage.
