The judges concluded that STS Defence excelled against all the requirements of the Manufacturing Excellence category. They showed specific evidence of continuous improvement - through employment involvement, innovation and a determination to reduce waste. The investment in both plant and people was further evidence of the desire to continually develop and grow their capability, product range and profits.
