Amadeus Consulting launches 2011 Internship Program

Dec. 16, 2010 - PRLog -- Amadeus Consulting is recruiting for its 2011 internship program for Marketing, Public Relations, and Business students.  

Internship opportunities will be available for the Winter/Spring semester, for January through April, as well as a summer and fall internship. The program is designed to give students a hands-on opportunity to learn Internet marketing techniques including search engine optimization (SEO), conversion rate optimization and search engine marketing (SEM). Candidate will also have an opportunity to learn about search engine marketing through managing pay-per-click campaigns in Google™ AdWords and Microsoft adCenter (which serves ads on Yahoo! and Bing). During the internship, the candidate may also have the opportunity to design, launch and manage their own PPC campaign and be able to report on the success of their efforts.

“This is a great opportunity for students,” said Monica Valdez, search visibility manager at Amadeus Consulting. “Search marketing is not something that is taught very well in school, but it is a multi-billion dollar business that can provide many unique opportunities to students as they graduate.”

The internship is designed to give candidates hands on experience, as well as a strong mentorship so that they can learn quickly while receiving feedback and guidance from experienced professionals. The position will also include activities such as budget analysis and campaign optimization. Additional opportunities in search visibility include researching social media opportunities to help build the Amadeus Consulting brand online.

This position requires an Internet savvy individual with general knowledge of how the Internet and web pages work, combined with skills across several functional areas such as copy writing, research and analysis.

“We don’t expect most candidates to have experience with SEO and SEM, but candidates should be willing to learn and have a strong interest in technology and marketing,” Valdez said. “The most important factor in our internship program is being able to quickly assimilate and apply information.”
