University of North Carolina Wilmington's myCampus Portal Achieves over 1 Million Page Views

Dec. 16, 2010 - PRLog -- The University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) achieved 1,004,419 page views to their mySeaport campus portal in September 2010. The high number of page views was accrued through both the mySeaport homepage and post-login pages such as academics and student services.

UNCW has enjoyed a sustainable, high volume of page views this semester due to unique features available through mySeaport, including:

*Single sign-on to 60+ external applications, including Facebook

*Single sign-on integration to iTunesU, where students can download recorded lecture sections from UNCW faculty members

*An email portlet on user homepages that provide instant views of new and latest messages

*RSS feed of headlines from The Seahawk, UNCW's campus publication, available on homepage and post-login screen

*Portlet featuring recent and upcoming UNCW campus events which students can access through the mySeaport homepage

*The ability for users to perform course registration activities through the portal.


mySeaport, is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) Cloud-based, Web 2.0 solution, developed by CampusEAI Consortium, that provides students, administration, faculty and staff with access to their academic and social information all in one place.
