Dec. 16, 2010 - PRLog -- Davao City, Philippines---How about making this year’s Yuletide Season more meaningful by sharing something for the impoverished kids who have never felt what a Christmas spirit like?

An informal group of creative writers mostly based here and are doing various types of writing jobs online have bonded together to do something out of their ordinary Christmas break by sending letters to Santa online and giving gifts to this city’s poor kids.

Volunteering meager contributions from their online job earnings, the group seeks to put together food and non-food items like toys to be distributed to targeted depressed areas in the city.

The group also hopes to generate funds from generous online sponsors who are willing to shell out whatever amount to fund the conduct of mini-Christmas programs and games for mostly street children and abandoned kids.

Dubbed as “From Online Santa With Love,” the Christmas special for the poor kids include fun and play and gift-giving activities to be carried out by the writers themselves.

“We’ve been gifted with the ability to write and to be of service to various clients from as far as the other side of the world, and this is our own way of sharing our blessings to those who felt that there is nothing left in life but everyday hardships and struggles,” says Robert Brown, co-founder of PressReleaseWorks.net, which handles press release writing and distribution services.

He recalled that when some of his associates were doing stories and marketing pitches for clients offering Holiday specials, it occurred to them that it makes sense to share whatever blessings they received online this year.

“It started with a spontaneous online discussion about how each one can make this year’s Christmas meaningful and the idea eventually evolved into something more concrete and real,” Brown added.

He said the group will be coordinating with the city’s local government institutions as well as some private and non-government organizations inorder to target those that have not been covered so far by similar assistance.

For those interested to support this Christmas endeavor, donations are accepted through Press Release Works via PayPal: prolificworks@gmail.com. Your generosity will be amply credited in the ensuing post-event series of press releases.
