Navy Log LLC, a newly formed media company, announced the formation today of a niche publishing division, Navy Log Books, positioned against the modern naval history and naval thriller segment.

A spokesman for the Navy Log LLC, said that Navy Log Books would emphasize works of fiction and non-fiction for readers who are seeking naval stories in the age of US naval supremacy from World War II to the present. The company said  there was a significant core audience composed of present and former naval personnel who appreciated the works of Forrester, Kent, and O’Brian but would like to read modern naval stories set in the age of steel ships and steam turbines and progress beyond the Royal Navy and the Napoleonic Wars.

Navy Log Books expects to be a content company using emerging delivery and distribution systems which are favored by active duty personnel, reserve and retired naval personnel, and heavy readers of general fiction, in particular publish on demand and electronic books.

The firm expects to release 1-2 covers per year over the next three years.
