Meet the Pet Directions Publisher: Toronto's First Pet Phone Book

Dec. 15, 2010 - PRLog -- I live with my girlfriend Karen, 2 dogs, a cat and a fish in Barrie, Ontario. We moved here from Richmond Hill a few years ago and Karen now runs a successful dog grooming business in Barrie called Paw Tyme Dog Grooming & Spa. The 2 of us have always valued customer service and it was recognized as Karen was named a Top 3 Finalist in the Barrie Advance Readers Choice Awards for "Favourite Groomer" this year (our local paper). Although she eventually lost out to PetSmart, it was quite an accomplishment for a 1st year business. During the past year we took part in 2 weekend charity events for the Barrie OSPCA and National Service Dogs. In total we raised over $1,000 which we're very proud of. We plan to continue to support fundraising efforts in the coming year, and through Pet Directions we hope to increase awareness for pet related charities, non-profits and rescue groups across the GTA (and eventually Canada). We plan to partner with a variety of different organizations to help make this happen. My background has been in sales for over 10 years and I've applied a lot of this experience to Paw Tyme and Pet Directions. Over the past several months the response to our pet phone book has been overwhelming and we want to thank everyone for your continued interest. Along with our editors and publishing team, we're excited to have our 1st edition come out in the Spring of 2011 and we look forward to working with our advertisers to help increase the awareness of their products and services within the GTA pet community.

It's been a busy few weeks for Pet Directions at Winter Woofstock, Canada Grooms, and the P.E.T.S. show. We're confirmed for Pet Fun Fest in February and the All About Pets Show in April where we'll be handing out FREE pet phone books to all attendees.
