Dec. 14, 2010 - PRLog -- Can You Improve Your Life and Save the World? Gary Drisdelle, Founder of the Healthyism Organization and Author of New Book ‘Healthyism: Healthy I, Healthy World!’ Says Yes, With the Help of Enlightened Practice

TORONTO, Dec. 14, 2010 — Not everyone is aware of it, but there’s a growing number of people who are purposefully looking to help themselves and the world evolve into a better state. And that’s exactly the message that Gary Drisdelle, a Canadian author and “humanity transition specialist,” is sharing with others through his new book and organization, all devoted to “Healthyism” (http://www.healthyism.com). An open-minded global practice, Healthyism is about being aware of and controlling one's destructive, inner-mental programming and instincts. Why? To fulfill the ultimate purpose of welcoming and supporting the absolute best for oneself, earth and its inhabitants.

Drisdelle’s new book, "Healthyism: Healthy I, Healthy World! The Evolutionary Practice of Constructive Consciousness," is a practical guide on “How to improve YOUR life and save OUR world.” Rooted in a movement that’s spurred an enlightening practice worldwide, Healthyism — and Drisdelle’s book on it — seeks to inspire people everywhere to partake in the cause to enhance ultimate health, not just of mind and body, but of overall personal existence.

“There’s a whole mess of destruction going on in most peoples’ lives, considering how they are treating themselves, each other and the world,” Drisdelle says. “Something has to be done, and that's where the concept of constructive consciousness comes into play. By evolving to a state of constructive consciousness, then actively practicing it, we can take the first step in addressing the problems. This book proposes a way to stop the mess and all the destructive behaviors and instincts, by achieving a calm and kind awareness of your inner and outer worlds. This begins in questioning the thoughts that are not constructive to yourself or others, a process I’ve outlined in my book and website.”

In addition to launching his book and website, Drisdelle has also started an official organization dedicated to Healthyism. The new Healthyism Organization (http://www.Healthyism.com/healthy_org.html) is a growing community of support for those who are either ready and willing — or simply inspired — to stop “unhealthyolic” habits. Drisdelle says it also provides tools and resources, such as seminars and workshops, for helping members welcome and sustain an optimally healthy, enduringly happy and a peacefully prosperous life for the self, others and the world. It encourages the practice of the simple Daily Global Moment of Unity (http://www.HealthyIsm.com/daily_global.html), whereby people around the world pause momentarily each day for one or both of two synchronized times to meditate, pray or focus on a connected moment of various good feelings.
