One Giant Leap for Prism

Dec. 13, 2010 - PRLog -- Ten staff from Congleton-based Prism Total IT Solutions took a giant leap from 13,000 feet to raise much needed funds for Friends for Leisure. The charity sky dive in Nottingham raised almost £4000 in generous sponsorship from friends, family and Prism customers and suppliers.

Friends for Leisure has benefited from ongoing support from Prism for over two years now, including complete IT systems and technical support in addition to financial donations. The charity promotes everyday leisure and friendship activities for children and young people with disabilities all around East Cheshire. Activities organised range from one-to-one friendships through to group activities, helping children and young people access activities of their choice and accompanying children or young people to specific groups and clubs such as Cubs, Brownies, drama and sports clubs.

General Manager for Friends for Leisure Gillian Jones commented “We totally applaud the amazing effort that the team from Prism has taken once again to contribute much-needed funds to our charity. Such a huge amount of money will enable us to make a substantial difference to the many families that rely on us to organise additional leisure activities for their youngsters.”

Gary Smith, co-director of Prism added “After initial nerves we all thoroughly enjoyed the day and really appreciate the generous donations received in support of our sky dive. I’m extremely proud of our team for choosing to participate in the nail-biting jump.”
