A Codpiece Can Take Writing to Another Level

An analysis of works of fiction that were rescued by a codpiece.

Sept. 13, 2011 - PRLog -- "Who doesn't like a codpiece?" asks Unpublished Guy. "No one, that's who."

In his article "Codpieces, Blade Runner, and Harry Potter" Unpublished Guy analyzes the writing of Philip K Dick and JK Rowling and concludes that the writing is questionable at best. Conventional wisdom suggests that storytelling trumps craft. Superior, engaging stories overcomes deficiencies in the craft of fiction.

Unpublished Guy proposes an alternate theory. A theory that is his and belongs to him. Codpieces created best seller publishing magic in novels like “Do Androids Dream of  Electric Sheep?” (the basis for the movie Bladerunner).
“In ‘Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?’ Rick Deckard wears a codpiece,” explains Unpublished Guy. “All sorts of codpiece wearing going on in Harry Potter. Must have been. Where there are wizards and giants, there must be codpieces.”
