PRLog - Dec. 14, 2010 - COLWYN BAY, U.K. -- New small business gets the Royal seal of approval.

2011 will see the official launch of Ysbryd y Ddraig.
Ysbryd y Ddraig (Spirit of the Dragon) is a creative event management company based in Conwy, also specialising in freelance fundraising and publicity design.
Founder & Creative Director Emma Davies made the jump to go self employed when made redundant whilst on maternity in 2010.
After seeking the support of the Prince’s Trust Emma was chosen to present her business directly to the Prince of Wales at Port Meirion in June 2010.

Emma says “It was a difficult start to the year finding I was to be made redundant with 2 children, my second just weeks old and a mortgage to worry about. With a lot of hard work and a royal seal of approval, one year on I am launching my company to the local businesses of North Wales.”

Emma has made the very most of opportunities available to her.
Leaving school just before her G.C.S.E's to have her daughter and caring for her grandmother who suffered from Alzheimer's disease for 5 years, making securing progressive employment difficult.
Emma finally secured a short term place at Crest Cooperative on a supported placement to help people find full time employment when her grandmother passed away. Having used her time as a carer to study and acquire a range of qualifications from English to Accountancy, Emma quickly became an asset at Crest and was kept on as a permanent member of staff. Emma went from a part time receptionist at Crest to coordinating the garden waste collection service that spanned Conwy County and 50,000 houses.

“Redundancy is rife and times are tough, but there is hope and help out there. I will be eternally grateful to Crest for the opportunity they gave me and to the Princes Trust for their support and belief in my business.”

Ysbryd y Ddraig's official launch will take place at the Quay Hotel and Spa, Deganwy early next year. Ysbryd y Ddraig will be inviting and welcoming businesses from across North Wales to the exclusive event.
“We will be creating a fantastic networking opportunity for businesses across North Wales, with a pinch of that certain indescribable Ysbryd y Ddraig fairy dust; it will be an event not to be missed.”
Get in touch with Emma if your organisation would like to capitalise on the effects of networking even in this economical time, spaces are limited.
