African Cartoon Now Available For Download

Dec. 11, 2010 - PRLog -- Bino & Fino, the cartoon from Nigerian animation studio EVCL is now available for download for a limited time only. The first episode called ‘Birthday Party’ was released online via Youtube and Facebook in October. This episode was done to mark the 50th Independence Day celebrations of so many African countries that gained their independence in 1960. ‘We realized there was really nothing being done to mark this event for children in a way they could understand’ says Bino & Fino creator Adamu Waziri. ‘We were going to do a free episode to test the waters and show people the possibilities of producing commercial black afro centric media for children all over the world. We were just looking for a theme and I decided we should tackle this subject and try and explain the concept of colonialism to children which I know is not the easiest of topics.’
