One of the things we often see is that a client will have an existing safe house, crisis retreat, or panic room. While these are good to have, we often see that they are improperly provisioned for the risks the client faces or that the provisions are not current.
Additionally, with crisis retreats and safe houses, we often see that the client’s preparedness plans do not take into account “Plan B” scenarios. For example, what if you can’t get to the retreat right away - how will you survive until you can get there? Or, what if someone has already beaten you to your retreat and occupied it - what will you do?
These are questions for which you should have answers. Remember, for every critical element in the crisis planning process, you always need a “Plan B” and a Plan “C”.
