“Millions of people will resolve to lose weight and get in shape this New Year,” says Harold Wimmer, President & CEO of the American Lung Association in Greater Chicago. “Signing up and training for the Fight For Air Climb is a strong motivator to get to the gym and a fun way to diversify your workout.” The Fight For Air Climb is an unprecedented test of endurance where athletes and those with a competitive spirit can climb 1,2,3 or all 4 Presidential Towers – more steps than any other indoor stairclimb event. Participants can climb as an individual or team and have the option of participating in Chicago’s only stairclimb relay. “I get bored running on a treadmill in the winter,” says Kris Lowes, 2010 Fight For Air Climb participant and triathlete. “Training for the climb last year was a great way to stay active when I couldn’t run outside and a fun competition to do with my friends.” To learn more about the Fight For Air Climb or to register, visit www.fightforairclimb.org.
