Christmas Baseball Camp at Longmont Sports Academy

Dec. 9, 2010 - PRLog -- The Longmont Sports Academy Announces its December Camp Schedule and Baseball Coaches Open House.

LSA is offering its annual Christmas Break Skills Camp December 21st through December 23rd.  The camp will be segmented by age groups.  Players age 6 through 10 will participate in the mornings 9am to Noon.  Older players from 10 through 14 will be hosted from 1 to 4pm each day.  The Camp will focus on basic player skills such as hitting, pitching, fielding and general baseball skills.  The third day of the camp will be more oriented towards skill competitions and games.

Scott May will highlight a team of quality local instructors at the facility that will administer the camp. Scott is a former Texas Ranger and Chicago Cub. Originally a 6th round draft pick by the Los Angeles Dodgers, Scott now dedicates his passion for the game to teaching local youth players.

Co-owner Jim Cardenas says; “We are thrilled to provide these camps to the local players.   Players from Longmont, Boulder, Loveland, Lafayette and Louisville will get the chance to work with our staff and improve their skills.  We take great pride in being able to offer this to the community.”

LSA is also having a Coaches Open House on Saturday December 18 and Sunday the 19th from 11-1pm.  Local baseball and softball coaches are invited to attend for a tour of the facility, free pizza and soda for all.  Coaches interested in stopping by will receive a FREE 1 hour tunnel rental coupon, just for touring the facility.
