Campbell’s spotlight is part of an ongoing blog series Marre is launching called Giving is Winning. Marre hopes that by bringing attention to companies who are including giving in their core business strategy he can inspire other companies to follow these examples and inspire consumers to support companies who have the common good at heart.

Some of Campbell’s achievements include Campbell’s Labels for Education that has awarded more than $110 million in equipment and supplies to thousands of schools across the U.S. and Canada and the more than 982.7 million pounds of food Campbell’s has collected since 1993 for local food banks.
Where Campbell’s is especially winning from their social responsibility, contends Marre, is through their healthier products. In the U.S. they have 100 products with a healthy level of sodium; more than 200 that are low in fat and saturated fat; more than 150 products that have 100 calories or less per serving; and more than 85 products certified by the American Heart Association.
