Dec. 7, 2010 - PRLog -- Ms. MacKay has been working as the Accountant and Corporate Treasurer since October 2006.  She has overseen the finances and trust account administration, compliance with the Texas Department of Banking (TDB), and assisted the company in receiving a uniform risk rating of “1” for the last two consecutive full scope examinations.  This is the highest ranking attainable by the TDB and is assigned to perpetual care cemeteries that adhere to sound fiduciary and overall business principles.

Ms. MacKay will assume the management of the award winning cemetery which has been featured in the Austin American Statesman, the Houston Chronicle and the local PBS station for its wondrous beauty - especially in wildflower season - and its artistic merit.

A graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University, Ms. MacKay received her BBA in Accounting.  With over two decades of experience in corporate accounting and small business consulting, she is looking forward to her new role, which includes the responsibility of the overall management of the company, and executing the business and marketing plans.  She will work closely with the assistant director and the many families that have chosen Our Lady of the Rosary Cemetery for their final resting place.

Ellen Brumder, owner of Our Lady of the Rosary Cemetery commented, “Amy has been my right hand and an invaluable advisor over these past years.  She has done an excellent job managing our finances and has kept us straight with all compliance issues including the Texas Department of Banking.  All of us at Our Lady of the Rosary Cemetery are enthusiastic about her new, expanded role."

Our Lady of the Rosary Cemetery, located on Highway 29 in Georgetown, just North of Austin serves all faiths.  It is a burial sanctuary of peace, consolation and hope where the beauty of the blessed grounds and sacred art invite prayer and contemplation. The Cemetery is set on twenty acres overlooking the San Gabriel River Valley.  The Cemetery staff specializes in both conventional and simpler, green burial options.
