UnderEarners Anonymous 12 Step Program...Really?

Dec. 7, 2010 - PRLog -- Did you know that there is a whole organization called UnderEarner's Anonymous? Anne Kadet wrote an article about it on Yahoo news earlier this month. UnderEarner's Anonymous is a 12 –Step program for people who are addicted to earning less than they are worth.

That indicates some powerful social proof that there is an epidemic of people who are not living their full potential and consequently not capable of even taking care of themselves in a healthy manner much less contribute to the benefit of others.

These people actually want to have healthy, meaningful work that is also financially rewarding, but they have locked themselves into certain patterns of belief that keep them repeating the same actions and behaviors around business and career that have them stuck in low paying, un-gratifying work.

For many, the biggest fear is that they are not worthy of the income they could receive by capitalizing on their own gifts and talents. And the saddest part is that some never even try to break free; it’s in the trying that old beliefs and negative behaviors get replaced with empowering beliefs and positive results.

Yes, it can be scary and growth is sometimes painful – but the rewards are magnificently greater than the toils of the journey. And, it’s certainly not a road to travel alone.

The number of people joining support groups like UnderEarner's Anonymous and Debtors Anonymous are proof that progress and healing is far more powerful when the fears and victories are shared in a safe, nurturing environment.

We humans are much more likely to break free of limiting and self-sabotaging behavior when we surround ourselves with people who have traveled that path before us and others who are brave enough to travel it now.
