PRLog - Dec. 7, 2010 - CONCORD, N.C. -- The Lake Norman Orchestra, conducted by Eduardo Cedeño, will present its holiday concert entitled “Holiday Crescendo” on Saturday, December 11, at 7:00 PM.

This family-friendly event will be held at the Roland R. Morgan Auditorium, located at 659 East Center Avenue at Mooresville High School in Mooresville, NC. The performance includes many of your favorite holiday selections, as performed by the orchestra and members of its brass ensemble. Appearing with the orchestra will be special guests--the Lake Norman High School Chorus.
Santa will make a an entrance and there will be door and raffle prizes. From children to adults, there's a festive sound of joy for every ear. So please come and join in as the Lake Norman Orchestra celebrates the season!
Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students (6-18); free for children under six. Tickets are available at the door or in advance on the orchestra’s website www.lknorchestra.org

The Lake Norman Orchestra, a not-for-profit community organization, welcomes all volunteers who desire to improve their musicianship, share their talent with their peers and provide quality entertainment throughout the Piedmont region of North Carolina. The LKNO performs several concerts throughout the year at numerous venues in the Lake Norman area. The LKNO musical repertoire is as diverse as its membership, so you're sure to find something you enjoy. Rehearsals are held every Monday evening, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Peninsula Baptist Church in Mooresville.
Eduardo M. Cedeño has performed as a conductor, soloist and collaborative artist in the United States, Europe, and South America. As a founding member of the Simon Bolivar Orchestra, Director and Conductor of the Merida Symphony Orchestra and as a Founding Member of the Philharmonic Choral Group of Caracas, Venezuela, he has worked with the founder of El Sistema and the Orquesta Nacional Juvenil de Venezuela. Cedeño has collaborated with numerous performing organizations including the Philharmonic Orchestra of Indianapolis, the Indianapolis Opera, and Charlotte Civic Orchestra; UNCC Opera and Carolina Voices, as well as various orchestras in Caracas, Venezuela. In addition to conducting the Lake Norman Orchestra, Cedeño presently serves as Adjunct Music Faculty at Mitchell Community College in Statesville and Chorus/Band Director at Community School of Davidson High School in Davidson, NC.
