EasiOption successfully completes SAS 70 Type I audit and ISO 27001 certification

Dec. 7, 2010 - PRLog -- EasiOption, the Pune based BPO renowned for its innovative office, has completed the Type I examination in conformity with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ (AICPA) Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70 (SAS 70) while also recently being certified as an ISO 27001 compliant organisation for Information Security Management System.

Completion of the SAS 70 Type I audit indicates the successful examination of EasiOption’s processes, controls and procedures, pertaining to BPO services by the independent accounting and auditing firm Princeton Audit Group. Madhav Vedula, Auditor, Princeton Audit Group, has assessed and drawn the SAS 70 Type I report for EasiOption.
The ISO 27001:2005 accreditation received by EasiOption, is only awarded to companies who can demonstrate the highest levels of competency in information security management. The scope of this certification also includes the exercise of activities in accordance with the UK Data Protection Act 1998.

EasiOption is currently working towards obtaining the Type II report and its SAS 70 audit underscores the company’s ongoing commitment to service excellence. Type II reports assess the operating effectiveness of these controls – after independent auditors perform rigorous tests.
