Lucid Hills Spring 2011 Story Contest

Dec. 6, 2010 - PRLog -- Our spring contest is open to all fiction and nonfiction writers. We’re looking for short shorts, short stories, essays, memoirs, photo essays, graphic stories, all forms of literary nonfiction, and excerpts from longer works of both fiction and nonfiction. Entries must be previously unpublished, no longer than 15,000 words, and must not have been previously chosen as a winner, finalist, or honorable mention in another contest.

Awards: First Prize is $500.00, Second Prize is $200.00, Third Prize is $100.00, and ten finalists will receive $25.00 each

Submission Fee: There is a $15 fee for each entry. Fee must be received before your work will be considered. To enter submit work to: springcontest@lucidhills.com

Timing: The contest deadline is December 31, 2010, at midnight EST.

Judging: Winners and finalists will be announced to the public by January15, 2011. All writers who enter will be notified by email of the judges’ decisions.

Manuscripts are not returned. Send a business-size SASE (or an IRC if outside the U.S.) for a list of winners.
Include $15 check payable to Lucid Hills Publications to cover our many expenses.
Include cover letter or title page with name, address, phone and email address.
