December 6, 2010, Great Falls, VA – After a very competitive bidding process, Fairfax County Park Authority of Virginia has awarded ITEK Construction and Consulting , Inc. with the Lee District Park Family Recreation Area - Phase I project, at a total budget of $1,680,000.


The family creation park is located on 4.3 acres of developed land in Franconia, VA. The scope of the project includes Demolition, Earthwork, Restroom/Ticket Building, Roadway, building parking Lots, Storm water Management System, Plazas, Walkways and Landscaping.


“We are developing this prime 4.3 acre property to build a public park with Spray Park, Filter Building and Concession Center components.  We’ve already made a great headway with this 9-month project and have every confidence that we’ll deliver it successfully at the end of April, 2011,” said ITEK President Ozzie Yazgan.


So far, with the mother nature's cooperation, ITEK Construction has met all of the milestones.


“We have poured more than 500 yards of concrete,” Yazgan said. “We have removed more than 200 trucks load of dirt from the site. Spray and Concession Center buildings are up, site landscaping has started, and we are looking forward to laying asphalt in the second week of December, if weather permits.”
