Concert helps youth charity

Dec. 6, 2010 - PRLog -- A Fundraising concert held in support of a Cornish youth charity has raised £1020.
The 'Medical Maelstrom' alias Anthony Seddon, Sam Freegard and Michele Sharky performed an eclectic mixture of humour and a range of 'straight' singing to help charity BF Adventure raise funds towards their work with disadvantaged young people and urgently needed indoor space.
The sell-out event took place in the impressive Great Hall at the Alverton Manor in Truro and included a raffle with many popular prizes, including an overnight stay donated by St. Michael's Hotel in Falmouth.
Everyone in the audience enjoyed the show as well as the wine and finger food served by the hotel during the interval.
Britta Hoffmann, Marketing Manager at BF Adventure said: "It has been a great evening. We are so grateful for all the fantastic support we have received from the Alverton Manor, the Medical Maelstrom and everyone who attended the concert"
Britta added "Without the help from the community it would be very difficult to sustain the important work we undertake on a daily basis."
Visitor, Paul Cheshire from Treverva said:"The concert was amazing. We all thoroughly enjoyed it and it's great to support such a good cause."

BF Adventure has been supporting the Cornish community and disadvantaged young people since 1989. In 2011 the charity is looking to build indoor space for bad weather days and the winter months.
