Longoria to Headline Las Vegas in 2011

Dec. 5, 2010 - PRLog -- An unnamed top Las Vegas strip hotel showroom is said to be working out the final details of the deal which is expected to bring David Longoria and his Jazzy, Latin infused concert show as early as February 2011. Details have not been released but the deal is expected to commit Longoria and his show to a residency in Vegas for at least 5 years. Often called "one of the most exciting trumpet players in the world today", Longoria has achieved success on music charts and radio stations the world over. Deeper Love, Longoria's collaboration with dance music diva Cece Peniston rose to the top 15 of the US Billboard charts. Singles featuring jazz and world artists including Marc Antoine and Ottmar Liebert play daily on jazz stations across the US. Longoria is also known for his musical contributions to recordings and live productions of top artists including Sting, Boys II Men, and many more. The live show "Baila!" (Spanish for Dance!) is an energetic live concert featuring Longoria, guest stars, a live band, singers and dancers.

"I did a test as a guest artist with a show at Planet Hollywood last December and January and we had a blast. We felt the Vegas audience was a great match for our own lively show!", Longoria said.

At a time when many large and expensive shows are leaving Las Vegas, Longoria feels the time is right to bring his audiences to see him in Vegas. "Building upon our fan base and luring them to Vegas to see us rather than waiting for us to tour to their city may be just what is needed to rekindle the fire of Las Vegas tourism", says Longoria. "I think it's time for a new generation of world class entertainment to be presented there."

Longoria's much anticipated album "BAILA!" will be released worldwide in March 2011 and the new TV Special of the same name will debut at the same time nationally on PBS stations.
