Dec. 3, 2010 - PRLog -- —The Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council (GMSDC) has announced its theme for 2011. The theme, “Expand Your Reach,” was chosen to represent the organization going into the new year.
The theme was handpicked from a host of over a dozen contest entries, featuring the talents of certified MBEs. The winners, Pencilworx Design Group, LLC., and PQC International, worked in conjunction with GMSDC staff to finalize the new logo and theme at the beginning of November.  GMSDC plans to unveil the new brand at its 35th Anniversary celebration December 2, 2010.
“Globalization has now become the key to not only grow a business, but to sustain a business,” said GMSDC President and CEO Stacey Key regarding the new theme. “Some companies may have already transitioned into a global market, while others may feel intimidated at the idea of expanding their company globally. Whether it’s business from Atlanta to Augusta, or a major partnership from Georgia to China, GMSDC believes that going global is not only achievable, but relative.”
Theme co-designers Pencilworx have been in operation for over a decade, winning more than 40 awards in graphic design and branding worldwide. The company’s extensive list of clients includes The University of Michigan, spiritual singer/song-writer Marvin Sapp, and The Atlanta Academy of Music. "It was a pleasure to work with Stacey and the GMSDC staff on their new theme,” said La Von Lewis, President and Cre8tive Director of Pencilworx. “Our goal for the 2011 theme was to not only improve the visual elements, but to also bring more brand awareness to the State of Georgia about all of the great things that this council has achieved. Our company can testify to their word. ‘Expand your Reach’ is a relatable message of inspiration. As a business owner, your goal should be to broaden your horizons and extend your brand as far as possible."
PQC International, an international consulting company based in Atlanta, GA, has already captured the spirit of the 2011 theme. Their company recently became a national corporate member of the National Minority Supplier and Development Council (NMSDC), sponsored by the world famous brand, The Coca-Cola Company. With a list of over 16,000 MBEs, PQC is now one of 93 companies to be nationally recognized and certified in their field. “Our strategic advantage has always been, and will continue to be, a strong focus on project management principles,” said company CEO Frank Payne. “These principles have worked well for our management consulting brands, and are now doing so for our Regency Marketing Group and Incylomedia Productions brands. We look forward to producing effective, high-quality creative designs and marketing services that drive successful campaigns for our clients the world over, and are glad to have been a part of this project. ”
“2010 has been a great year for our MBEs, corporate members, as well as for our organization,” says Key. “We are excited with what 2011 already has in store, and our new theme captures our vision, expanding the reach of our MBE constituents and corporate members for greater business opportunities in the future.”
