Christmas spirit at Swansea Tourist Information Centre

Dec. 3, 2010 - PRLog -- Swansea is in the grip of festive spirit with the return of the Waterfront Winterland and ice skating tickets are selling fast at Swansea’s Tourist Information Centre.

The Tourist Information Centre is also geared up to offer a whole range of festive gifts and cards and taking pride of place is the locally grown tree, kindly supplied by Gower Fresh Christmas Trees, Three Crosses.

Yvonne Smith, Swansea Tourist Information Supervisor said “We are the only city centre outlet for ice skating tickets and people tell us how convenient it is to be able to do their shopping in the city centre and pop into the TIC to pick up their tickets.  

“This year we have been surprised by the number of people who have wanted to buy tickets for themselves and as Christmas gifts for friends and family. We have a great range of gifts on offer which are sourced locally and in particular Gower jams and chutneys are flying off the shelves.

“If you are struggling for ideas for things to buy or things to do in the run up to Christmas, pop into the TIC where the staff have plenty of suggestions for helping you to create a perfect Swansea Christmas”.

Waterfront Winterland opened on Friday 19 November and features the Admiral ice-rink and Rocky’s children’s rink; Miles Hire Big Wheel, Santa’s Grotto as well as other festive fairground rides.
