Dec. 3, 2010 - PRLog -- PBC Art Gallery launched ‘A God for all seasons-Lord Ganesha’, debut book authored by Shri. Sutikshan Prakash, an US based Indian author at a glittering event at 26 Prithviraj Road, on Monday, November 30, 2010

Prominent dignitaries present at the occasion were Shri. K. C. Pant, Former Defense Minister of India, H.E. Dr. & Mrs. Shabbir Hoosen Peerbhai, Ambassador of Lesotho, Ms. Madhu Jain, Fashion Designer of the Commonwealth Games fame and the host Mr. Kamal Meattle, CEO, Paharpur Business Centre. Apart from these many other prominent VIP’S and ambassadors were present to grace the occasion.

During the occasion, Shri. Sutikshan Prakash said, “The book talks about various attributes of Lord Ganesha and his life. There are insights about the spiritual significance of the legends and the symbolism inherent in Ganesha’s depictions. He is a lovable god – not infinite and unknowable, but a manifestation that can be know and touched. Lord Ganesha is the most “human” of the gods – he loves sweets, plays pranks, has fun, and sometimes gets angry. There are hundreds of Ganesha tales in the texts and in folklore. The myths and legends instruct while entertaining. This book explores facets of Lord Ganesha in a story-telling format, the questions a young boy asks his mother and her answers to him. As the boy is growing up, his questions and learning evolve from understanding Ganesha’s physical attributes and his life, to insights about the spiritual significance of the legends and the symbolism inherent in Ganesha’s depictions. The stories in the book are enjoyable, and make Lord Ganesha’s teachings easy to understand and adopt in day to day life.”
