Danielle Smith of Niyati Entertainment Group will host a "Brunch Seminar" in Beverly Hills, CA

Juggling Act: Balancing the demands as a Personal Assistant in 2011. "It’s not always easy being a personal assistant; in fact you learn very quickly how to juggle between duties and projects for the person you assist" states Danielle D. Smith.

Dec. 2, 2010 - PRLog -- Balancing the demands of your boss or clients as a personal assistant takes a certain level of grace, intelligence and patience. "Well I would say it takes a lot of PATIENCE because the demands on YOUR time can become difficult to deal with if you don’t learn how to juggle between tasks and balance your work load", said Danielle D. Smith, owner, consultant and manager of The Niyati Entertainment Group, a personal assistant and management firm and Editor of Personal Assistant Magazine.com an online magazine geared towards personal assistants.

So you ask the question, “How can I balance my work load as an assistant when there are so many projects, tasks and small details that have to be completed each day?”  Danielle D. Smith will be on hand Sunday, December 19, 2010 at 10am at a restaurant in Beverly Hills to discuss the many different ways you can balance the demands and work load as a personal assistant for the New Year 2011.

You must RSVP for this event at seminar@niyatigroup.com. Seating is limited and the price for this event is $25.00 per person which includes your brunch and the seminar. Once you RSVP and pay you will receive confirmation and the location of the restaurant.

At this informative brunch seminar hosted by Danielle Smith and promoted by Niyati Entertainment Group you will learn some valuable tips on how you can become a better assistant: The five areas that will be discussed are:

“How to Stay Calm” - It can be very difficult if you have a hundred tasks & projects to complete by the end of any given day. The key is to not panic. Take some deep breaths if you have to and have a little faith in yourself that you can complete each task given to you.

“How to stay Focused” - Staying focus is extremely important especially if you work with someone who is extremely busy and has their hands in many different projects. I worked with comedian, J. Anthony Brown for seven years. He was involved with multiple projects at once that I had to oversee. I handled the day-to-day operations of his businesses which included a non-profit foundation, clothing line, art collection, comedy, club, production company and radio, comedy and film/television career. “How to Prioritize” - Organizing your task from “urgent” to “this can wait another day” is important. Only you and your boss/client know which task is the most important to complete first.

“How to create a Status Report” – Keeping a log of the work pending and completed is essential to your organization and balancing your tasks.

“When to Solicit for Help” - People always think it’s a bad reflection on you as an assistant if you solicit help. Well it’s not; unless you are superwoman or wonder woman everyone needs a little extra help from time to time.

“Why Communication is Key” - At last, if you do get overwhelmed, which from time to time we do, don’t be afraid to communicate this to your boss/client. I’ve seen on many occasions assistants just drop the ball on something and not complete a task because they didn’t think it was that important anyways. Don’t do that because every task or project your boss ask you to do is important to them even if you don’t think so.
