Sri Lankan Leos Preparing for Leo Walk 2010 "Green Together"

Dec. 2, 2010 - PRLog -- Leo Multiple DIstrict 306 is organizing the annual Leo walk for the year 2010 under the theme "Together Green". The walk is scheduled to be held From Mahanama College to Lions Activity Center COlombo on 4th December 2010. "The key objective of the Leo walk is to promote the green Living within the community and to motivate the youth of Sri Lanka to adopt green living" Said Leo Thirupparan Sivapathasundaram , Project chairman of Leo the Leo walk 2010.

More than 400 Leos representing 150 Leo clubs across Sri Lanka are expected to take part in this walk. This walk will be represented by 6 Leo District 306 A1, 306 A2 , 306 B1,306 B2 and 306 C1 and 306 C2. Parallel to the Walk a tree planting campaign will be carried out at the Mahanama College to mark the Leo walk and the 41st anniversary of Leoism in Sri Lanka. In addition a Leo Camp fire will be held preceding the walk.


Leo movement is an international youth program sponsored by Lions Clubs International which is focusing on developing young leaders under the slogan "Leadership , Experience and Opportunity".    

Leo Multiple District 306 is the administrative body representing Leo clubs of Sri Lanka. It operates under the Lions Multiple District 306. This year Leo multiple district operates under the theme "Together" and led by Multiple District President Leo Kamal Jayathilake.
