JumiTech Announces JumiOne: New technological Breakthrough In IPhone/PC connectivity

Dec. 2, 2010 - PRLog -- JumiTech describe JumiOne as a technology that enables you to control everything that happens on your personal computer using an iPhone. Furthermore, JumiOne is a platform that houses ten different applications that are already deployed & used by hundreds of thousands of users. The applications allow us to utilize the PC in a variety of ways from Remote Desktop, through Home Webcam Streaming, MultiMedia Remote Control, using your iPhone as a Joystick, activating and driving PowerPoint presentations and more.

JumiOne is the actual infrastructure that is in charge of communicating with the PC and any application that utilizes JumiOne's backbone does not have deal with any of back-end tasks that involve any of the work that actually takes place on the PC. Furthermore, the technology houses cross-app task-specific capabilities that are made available to apps built on the JumiOne platform. For example, the capability of streaming visual data to your iPhone is utilized by several applications such as the JumiCam the webcam streaming app, or JumiMouse+ where a  view of the remote desktop is streamed to the iPhone. This means that whenever JumiTech includes an improvement to any of the core capabilities, it automatically improves several different applications. The users of the WebCam streaming, the Remote Desktop, and the Gamer's Edition Remote Desktop will all benefit from a Video Streaming enhancement.

In the long run, Jumi’s strategy is to make this an open platform and make it available to anyone. Some of the platform's interfaces have already been made public and any user today can easily build his/her own remote control for any PC application. In the future JumiTech will also gradually release JumiOne's other interfaces, up until the point where it will be an open platform where anyone can develop any application based on it.
