Here Today, Gone to Maui

Dec. 2, 2010 - PRLog -- Maui is a fantastic island that is one that caters more to western tourists more than the other islands, who tend to cater to Japanese and Asian tourists due to the large amount of tourist from them countries that visit Hawaii.  There are many things to do no matter what country you are from in Maui.

How about you take an tour in a unique and almost exclusive way.  Atlantis adventures has been recognised as one of the largest tourist attraction on all the Hawaii Islands.  They offer something that a lot of the other tour guides don't and that is their submarine.  Yes they do a submarine tour all over Hawaii.  This 48 passenger submarine has been featured on numerous television shows such as National Geographic television specials.  The submarines are vessels that have seen  technological break through over the years and can reach depths of over 100 feet.  The company runs various tours in three islands of Hawaii, six Caribbean Islands and Guam.  Maui underwater is considered beautiful and makes you see why it is called magic Isle as the marine life there is something else.

This is also shown by the Maui Ocean Center that is located in the city of Maalaea.  This is the largest tropical reef aquarium in the western Hemisphere.  This five acre aquarium houses one of the countries largest predators, the Tiger Shark.  The exhibits of the facility are geared towards those who want to fill like they are part of the country, some would say they have a residential feel to them.  This is shown by some of the exhibits mimicking a beach and as you progress you feel like you are getting deeper into the ocean but you aren't getting wet thanks to the tanks.  They have small marine life like urchins and cauliflower coral to various types of fish such as the national fish the trigger fish and the surgeon fish.  Then there are others like turtles and the hunters of the sea Tiger, white tip and gray sharks.  One of the good things about this aquarium is that it allows people to get into the tank with these creatures, that is if you are a certified scuba diver.  This is a very popular place in Maui so it is better to book your tickets before hand because if you are going to buy on the day you want to visit you will be waiting for a long time, due to the admission lines.

For those who fancy a spot of golf then there are a few resorts on this island that will cater for your needs.  There is the Kapalua Resort, the Makea Golf courses and the Wailea Golf club.  There are more but these three are the stand out places for golf.  Then there are a couple of museums there's the Bailey house Museum and the Baldwin Home Museum both were built around 1830, both are historic sites and Baldwin home has the oldest building in Maui right next to it (which is included in with the ticket.)
