By: Affordable Housing Centers of America “As 2010 comes to an end, too many Maryland families struggle to make their mortgage payments. Others are already behind or are in foreclosure. During the past 12 months, we have counseled more than 1,450 Baltimore-area families who were in danger of losing their homes through foreclosure. During the week of December 6th, our Baltimore office will reach out to ever family in danger of foreclosure we can find in Baltimore City and Prince George’s County,” said Claudia Ray, Counseling Director, “Our goal is to make sure all families have a home for the holidays.” This hotline has been set up to take calls from homeowners: 866-285-5062. Events include: 1. M&T foreclosure prevention workshop: Representatives from M&T Bank will be available on December 8th from 6:00 – 9:00 pm at 1800 North Charles Street, Suite 202, Baltimore, MD. 2. Counselors will be available on site: Existing and new clients will be able to speak to AHCOA counselors daily during the week at the Baltimore AHCOA office, 1800 North Charles Street, Suite 202, Baltimore, MD, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, and from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from noon until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday December 11th. 3. Foreclosure prevention workshop: Representatives from M&T Bank and AHCOA will hole a foreclosure prevention workshop at First Christian Community Baptist Church, 4116 Groveland Avenue, Baltimore, MD, on December 9th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Space is limited.
