Groundbreaking Addiction Treatment Intensive Outpatient Program Launches in Florida

Dec. 1, 2010 - PRLog -- Sweetwater Lodge, a transitional sanctuary set in hundreds of acres of private pine forest structured around a groundbreaking remote access online intensive outpatient program (IOP) for drug and alcohol addiction treatment, has opened in North Florida.

The unique online outpatient program is provided by a Joint Commission accredited partner, offering interaction with experienced, licensed therapists in traditional therapeutic group sessions using secure and compliant video conferencing. Treatment is provided over three days per week (3 hours per day) with therapy groups including one-to-one counseling, process groups, relapse prevention and family therapy (where appropriate), supplemented by homework assignments, regular attendance of local self-help meetings and specific recovery activities such as good nutrition, regular exercise and recreation.
