United Arab Shipping Company will use the KSD Security Control System to handle ICS and EXS filing

Dec. 1, 2010 - PRLog -- Combining the interface between UASC and KSD with the use of the KSD Dashboard gives UASC the possibility to streamline the process and at the same time have the flexibility in regards to giving access to the solution from local offices and agents in Europe.

The aim of this partnership is to achieve compliance for all Custom’s regulations and requirements within the European Union in regards to security filing in the most efficient way for UASC.  KSD provides the most direct communication to Member States within the EU and is already aggressively testing to ensure smooth transition by December 31, 2010.  

Briefly about ICS and EXS

Effective January 1, 2011, all carriers (ships, planes and trucks) will be required to electronically declare goods entering or leaving the EU, Switzerland and Norway prior to their arrival.  This is a major change for carriers who will have to connect via EDI with Customs authorities within the EU to declare those goods.
