Nov. 30, 2010 - PRLog -- Boston, Massachusetts, November 30, 2010 – What does a Las Vegas based specialty dog trainer and handler do when she takes her client’s prize winning dogs on the road through the Nevada desert?  She keeps in touch with her customized transport trailer using her Temperature@lert iPhone App where in a few seconds she can check on the temperature in the trailer thanks to her Cellular Edition wireless sensor.  And she knows if the temperature rises to a level she considers dangerous she’ll get a phone call telling her to check on her brood.

Valerie Stanert of Bakar Dobermans travels the US to show her client's show dogs in an A-Class Toy Hauler.  Toy Hauler's are used to carry anything from pets and livestock to off road vehicles.  As the dogs ride in the comfort of their cages, the trailer’s generator powered AC system works hard to keep temperatures inside the trailer cool and safe.  “The best thing I like about my Temperature@lert cellular sensor is I can check while I’m driving whether or not the generator is still working.  I attached it to the wall inside the dog hauler and use it every single day I’m on the road.  Like the majority of these transports, the generator does not have an automatic restart feature.  So having the peace of mind to check on the dogs without stopping every so often is a blessing.”

Like most hot climate RVers, Valerie is very aware how quickly temperatures in these units can climb during the day, especially when they’re traveling on hot blacktop or parked in a paved parking lot.  Not only can she check while traveling, her iPhone has a special ring to let her know if there is a problem when she’s showing a dog and the trailer is parked.  “This is a very nice feature to have since I’m not carrying my phone with me when I’m in the process of handling a dog but can tell a call came in and attend to it as soon as my presentation is ended,” Valerie noted.

“I tried another company’s product but it just didn’t work,” Valerie said when she described how she decided on Temperature@lert’s Cellular Edition.  “They said they would address my issues with their next generation product and I gave them a deposit.  The company disappeared along with my deposit.  After that I spent a few days looking at different products on-line before choosing this sensor.  One key feature I really needed was the 15 minute reporting interval.  A lot can change in 30 minutes when you’re driving through the hot desert or parked midday on an asphalt parking lot.  And the Cellular Edition was very easy to set up and use.  The on-line video was very helpful and I really appreciated the 30-day free trial period offer after what had happened.”

“Temperature@lert has noted a significant number of orders from RV owners and especially those who travel with their pets,” noted Harry Schechter, Temperature@lert President & CEO.  We’re protecting dogs, cats and even a flock of parrots who travel with their families throughout the US.  One feature they really appreciate is the ability to suspend their monthly service during the winter months when they’re not traveling.  And with our latest Cellular Edition, the CELL300, customers can receive an immediate notification when the AC power adapter is no longer charging the back-up batteries.  This means they can be alerted immediately of potential problems with their AC units before the temperature starts to rise, giving them additional time to respond to potentially dangerous or harmful conditions.”

Whether they’re traveling with a beloved pet or a trailer full of show dogs, RV owners and animal transporters can be assured their charges are safe with easy-to-use cellular temperature sensors.  Additional information about Temperature@lert’s Cellular Edition including service plan options can be found at http://www.temperaturealert.com.
