The Craig High School Announces Inaugural Induction of Students to National Honor Society

Nov. 29, 2010 - PRLog -- Students from Craig High School in Lincoln Park were inducted as new members of the National Honor Society. Members were selected for meeting high standards of scholarship, service, leadership, and character.

Students inducted were Jordan Chester from Kinnelon, John Cranston from Allendale, Joshua Kitts from Great Meadows, Henry Drake and Louis Dantzler, both from Montclair.  The Chapter Advisor Mrs. Dawn DeSimone and Head of School and Director of The Craig High School, Dr. Eric Caparulo joined in the ceremonies.

“We are very proud to recognize these outstanding members of our student body.  National Honor Society members are chosen for and then expected to continue their exemplary contributions to the school and community” said Mrs. DeSimone.

This induction ceremony was particularly special to the Craig High School, as it was their inaugural induction, having become a National Honor Society chapter this past summer.  

The National Honor Society ranks as one of the oldest and most prestigious national organizations for high school students.  Chapters exist in more than 15,000 high schools and, since 1921, millions of students have been selected for membership.  Millions of dollars in scholarships have been awarded to senior members since 1945 by the sponsoring organization, the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP).
